Smoky Mountain Cabin, unit 115 Getaway Mountain Lodge, is the perfect place to relax and enjoy some of the best views that the Smoky Mountains has to offer. When you first pull up to the cabin you will notice a large wraparound deck with step entrance and ramp entrance for those who need it. Entering the cabin, you are greeted with hardwood throughout, a fully furnished kitchen with dishwasher, and a full-size living room leather furniture, 55-inch flat screen with surround sound, a gas fireplace in a stone setting, and floor to ceiling windows that look out on some of the best views that the Smoky Mountains and Wears Valley has to offer. There are two bedrooms on the main level, one named The Big Buck, and the other named The Bear Den. In The Big Buck offers a king size bed with a full bathroom with a walk-in shower equipped with a rainfall shower head. The Bear’s Dens is set up the same with a king size bed and full bathroom with walk-in shower with rainfall shower head. When you go downstairs, you walk into the lower-level game room that has a pool table, air hockey table, drink fridge, sleeper sofa, 40-inch flat screen TV, a set of bunk beds, and another set of windows with the amazing views of the Smokies. There are two bedrooms downstairs as well, one named The Big Buck, and the other named the Fishing Nest. In The Fishing Nest bedroom, there is a king size bed and full bathroom with walk-in shower with a rain shower head. In the Big Buck bedroom, there are two queen size beds, and a full bathroom with a tub/shower combo. Also on the the lower level there is access to the lower level deck where you can soak in the hot tub and take in all the beauty that the Smoky Mountains has to offer.
Would you like to go fishing while you are in town or go swimming? Getaway Mountain Lodge has access to Honeysuckle Meadows seasonal outdoor swimming pool, deli, and year-round outdoor fishing access. The pool is located about 1 and a half miles from the pool. You do not have to have a fishing license to fish at this private catch and release fishing area. This Honeysuckle Meadows outdoor recreation area is just a short drive from Getaway Mountain Lodge and features beautiful Wears Valley area Views of the surrounding Mountain Area.

Fireside Chalets is a good rental agency. We booked a cabin through VRBO, the pictures showed a nice cabin and good sized parking area. Fireside Chalets office called me to confirm the booking and asked if we were coming on motorcycles or pulling a trailer. The road up to the cabin is very narrow and some of it is a step above a goat path. Happily, there is two ways up to the cabin. The first day the GPS took us up Manis road. That is the wrong way to go. The office told us not to go that way, but the road splits off from Manis and we thought that was the way. Anyway, once we got to the cabin and unpacked, we found the better route to drive. The views are beautiful up there! Renter be aware, if you’re planning on watching some football while you’re there, purchase a plan you can sign into on the Roku TV once you get there because that’s all that is available. Supposedly there is an active bear in the area, but we didn’t see it. We had a great weekend, and we’re all grateful for my son and brother n law for driving the trucks and trailers up and back down the mountain.

Getaway Mountain Lodge was prefect for our family vacation. Had great space with all needed supplies and excellent views. Even had a bear visitor a couple times of day!

Fireside staff was awesome so pleasant and friendly to talk with.Cabin was beautiful had everything we needed .The cabin had a flat driveway that could fit five cars easily.Hope to use fireside again soon .Thanks everyone.

We had a great week at Getaway Mountain Lodge! We had a bear come in the backyard within 30 minutes of our arrival and we saw bears everyday thereafter! We loved watching them but be cautious because they will come on the deck. (Wish I could post a picture here) Also saw rabbits and a grey fox! The views and sunsets are spectacular! This cabin was very adequate for our party of 12 (6 adults and 6 children). We had an issue with coffee maker not working but they brought us another one. You will need to follow the map they give you to find the cabin. DO NOT follow google maps and don’t try to find this cabin in the dark. You will regret it if you do. We enjoyed staying closer to Townsend and Cades Cove. We rode our bikes, hiked to Laurel Falls, visited the Sinks, hiked to Fire Tower, and ate at Elvira’s! We had so much fun and would definitely come back!

Our family had the most amazing stay in the Getaway Mountain Lodge; pictures do not do it justice! Views from the cabin were absolutely beautiful and we were able to see a bear one afternoon. Thank you Fireside Chalet!

The cabin was great for group of 10! There was plenty of space. It was very clean and the hot tub was amazing. The hills to the cabin are very steep and we had trouble a few times due to the rain and fog but that didn't take away from the time in the cabin. Thank you for having us!

Getaway Mountain Lodge is a beautiful, well-equipped cabin. It was extremely neat and clean upon our arrival. All the staff we dealt with at Fireside Chalets rwas kind, friendly, and helpful. We’ve stayed at several cabins in the Smokies and dealt with quite a few rental companies over the years. This cabin and staff rate at the top of the list.

We had such a great time at this cabin. We would totally stay again. The layout was perfect for our whole family. plenty of space for everyone to hang out together and still enough room to have come quiet time.
