Pigeon Forge Springfest  - a time when visitors enjoy spring decorations, mountain wildflowers and plenty of great events throughout Spring.
2 Gatlinburg Gateway Triathlon - This is the third annual triathlon, which is headquartered at the Gatlinburg Community Center and starts at 8:15 a.m. The triathlon is open to anyone 15 years and older capable of swimming one-half mile, biking twenty kilometers, and running five kilometers consecutively. Awards will be given in multiple age categories (men’s and women’s division), plus a mixed team relay event. Pre-registration is required. Call (865) 436-4990
2 - 3 Smoky Mountain Trout Tournament - The 12th Annual Spring Smoky Mountain Trout Tournament is open to adults or children. It is equally challenging for both visitors and locals, with multiple categories to be contested in this largest trout tournament in the Smokies. 9 - 10 HAM Radio Operators International Tribute at Titanic Pigeon Forge - On the 99th anniversary of Titanic’s maiden voyage, amateur (HAM) radio operators will band together worldwide for a very special broadcast originating from Titanic Museum Attraction. The event will commemorate the anniversary of the sinking and will honor the two wireless operators, Jack Phillips and Harold Bride, who sent distress signals into the early morning hours of April 15, 1912. HAM operators from Pigeon Forge to Belfast, Northern Ireland, will transmit news of the anniversary using a special call sign and signals. Visitors are invited to witness this live event, which offers a firsthand look at the fragile and primitive nature of communications at sea in 1912. 15 - 16 Mountain Man Memorial March - This is the third annual 26.2-mile march. It starts in downtown Gatlinburg at 7:00 a.m. as a challenging tribute to our men and women in uniform. The course includes highway and rural road stretches, in addition to rugged terrain and mountain slopes. The event honors 1LT Frank Walkup, a University of Tennessee-Knoxville alumnus who in 2007 was killed in the line of duty in Iraq. Pre-registration is required. 1 - 30 Gatlinburg Winter Magic™ Trolley Ride of Lights - Enjoy a guided trolley tour of spectacular Gatlinburg Winter Magic lighting displays. Departure is from the Ripley’s Aquarium Trolley Station in Gatlinburg. Group reservations are available. Trolley leaves at 6:30, 7:30 and 8:30. Tickets on sale October 15. 2 Gatlinburg's 36th Annual Fantasy of Lights Christmas Parade - This popular Christmas parade in downtown Gatlinburg is recognized as one of the very best by the International Festival and Events Association. Parade features lighted floats, marching bands, equestrian units and helium balloons. Parade begins at 7:30 p.m. at Traffic Light #1A and continues through downtown to Light #10. 3 Sevierville's 49th Annual Christmas Parade - A traditional hometown parade with baton twirlers, pageant winners, marching bands and floats leading up to the appearance of the Grand Marshal – Santa Claus! Parade begins at 11:00 a.m. and can best be viewed on Forks of the River Parkway and Court Avenue in historic downtown Sevierville, TN.
